[UPDATE May 21]
Thanks to everyone who made the 2018 Foresters Hall of Fame Night so special. A great talk by Gaby Halcovich about Augie Garrido; reflections on Foresters of the past by Bill Oakley Sr.; and memories of 25 years of helping the Foresters off the field by Jim Buckley. Plus, we met new Hugs for Cubs kid Gianfranco Calderon. Everyone had a terrific time and we look forward to sharing more baseball soon!
Baseball season is heating up, and it’s time to get ready for the Foresters’ 2018 season. On May 12 at 5:30 pm, join players, coaches, and fans for the annual Foresters Hall of Fame Celebration. This year will be, as it has for many people, a little different. We are taking time to honor John McManigal and Mark Montgomery, members of the Foresters family who were lost in the Montecito disaster. Special guest speaker, Gaby Halcovich, a former Foresters player, will talk about his days with the late, great college coach Augie Garrido, who was scheduled to be the speaker on this event’s original date in February. Plus, we’ll induct two new HOF members—original 1958 Forester Bill Oakley Sr. and longtime volunteer Jim Buckley.
Fans can help the 2018 Foresters by taking part in the silent and live auctions, plus pick up Foresters gear.
Hall of Fame attendees can also find out all about the upcoming season, pick up schedules, buy season passes, and more.
