The ‘Sters took on the San Diego Waves for their second consecutive game, winning 14-3. This win improved their record to 9-1. A two-run homer by Easton Rulli and a solo dinger by Brady Dallimore had fans on their feet. A game filled with 13 RBI by a variety of ‘Sters players was the key to their victory today.

An action packed second inning put the ‘Sters up 5-0. Started with a leadoff walk by Brenton Clark followed by a single from catcher Cole Chamberlain. Sawyer Farr took the plate for an RBI single that brought Clark home for the Forester’s first run. Addison Klepsch swung with power as he got 2 RBI’s, which brought home both Farr & Chamberlain. The key hit for the ‘Sters this inning was their first home run at home by second baseman Easton Rulli, which also brought Klepsch home as well.

In the bottom of the 3rd after a Clark single and Chamberlain & Farr both worked the pitch count and walked, the stage was set with bases loaded and 1 out for first baseman Klepsch. After he achieved a full count, he walked which brought Clark home to score. Another full count by Rulli finished with a walk, which brought home Chamberlain. A single hit to centerfield by leadoff man Maddox Mandino and a single by Terrence Kiel brought more ‘Sters home to make the score 9-0. A final sacrifice fly by Easton Moomau to bring Rulli home, putting the ‘Sters on the board at 10-0.

‘Sters kept their lead up and added 2 more with RBI’s in the 4th from Hoover and Rulli, bringing home Chamberlain, who doubled, and Farr, who singled, to bring the scoreboard up to 12 for the Foresters.

After an impressive performance by starting pitcher Ka’imi Kahalekai with 6 strikeouts and 0 runs allowed, Josh Hyneman is brought in to relieve in the middle of the top of the 5th, immediately earning back to back strikeouts.

The top of the 6th is where the Waves finally got on the board after a runner was walked and eventually brought home by a single hit. Hyneman put up a fight on the mound with 3 strikeouts in the 5th and 6th but Zeke Adderley was brought in to relieve in the 7th. Adderley dug the ‘Sters out of an intense 7th inning, with bases loaded twice and only allowed 1 additional run for the waves.

In for Mandino in the 7th, Brady Dallimore hits a home run on his second pitch! Brought the score to 14-2. With a single home run threat in the top of the 9th by the Waves, the Foresters take home the game with a 14-3 win!

The Forester’s are back at home tomorrow, June 21st at 4:30pm where they will face the San Diego Bombers. Catch the game at Eddie Matthews field for game 4 of their 5 game homestand! Come out and watch or tune in to the Foresters Youtube channel for live coverage.
