10-Time National Baseball Congress World Series Champions

Bad Math: 14 LOB = 4-2 (L)

Fireworks, baseball gloves, hot dog

The Foresters had their chances on Friday night in San Luis Obispo, but didn’t cash enough in and fell to the Blues, 4-2. All together, they left 14 runners on base in the game. Still, the game was tied in the seventh when the Blues strung together enough singles to score two runs. And they made it stand up, even though the Foresters had men on base in both eighth and ninth.

Lex Kaplan broke out of a slump with three hits, while Matt Henderson and Bret Boswell had a pair apiece. Tyler Adkison drove in one of the Foresters’ runs with a sacrifice fly, while thei other scored thanks to a wild pitch and a balk.

The Foresters hope all their fans will come to Saturday’s game vs. the Blues at Caesar Uyesaka. Cottage Health Systems will present Lexi Brown Day, a special game in honor of our beloved Hugs for Cubs kid. Be there early for pregame ceremonies. First pitch, 5 pm. –JB
