BOX SCORE

Christian Encarnacion led a parade of power Tuesday night, as the Foresters rocked the Santa Maria Pea Soup, 17-4, in a game ended after seven innings on a mercy rule. The big DH’s fifth homer of the season was part of a 12-run second inning that put the game away. Encarnacion wound up with five RBI on the night.

Ryan Holgate had a homer as well and was a triple shy of the cycle, while Sean McLain went yard, too. Every Foresters starter had a hit, and all but two starters scored at least one run.

Justin Campbell started for the Foresters with four scoreless innings and got the win and added to the Foresters depth at starting pitching.

Santa Barbara faces Santa Maria again on Wednesday at 6 PM. Tune in on KCSB.org/sports.
