It’s time for Foresters Baseball . . . with a twist! Thanks to hard work and great support from our board of directors, the city of Santa Barbara, and our sponsors, the Santa Barbara Foresters will start an independent schedule of games on July 1. Games will be held at Pershing Park, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, no fans will be allowed. We are very sorry, but we know that you understand that this is for all of our—and your!—safety.
You won’t miss a pitch, though. Every game will be live on KCSB.org/sports and you can also click HERE to order a Livestream subscription for video, either one game at a time or with a season pass. Opening Day is Wednesday, July 1 at 6 pm. The Foresters are scheduled to play every day except Mondays until August 2.
The team is loaded! Three players were 2020 Freshman All-Americas, and four players return from 2019, including Eric Pintard Award winner RHP Luke Taggart and All-CCL CF Christian Franklin. Matthew McLain was a former first-round draft pick and now stars at UCLA; four of his Bruins teammates highlight a Pac-12 heavy lineup for Santa Barbara.
