10-Time National Baseball Congress World Series Champions
Santa Barbara Foresters

Opening Day, June 9!

Get Ready to ’Ster It Up!

Opening Day is a week away, and it’s time to start a new streak! The home opener is SUNDAY, JUNE 9 9 at 2 pm against one of our archrivals, the San Luis Blues.

After winning three straight NBC World Series titles (2020-21-22), the Foresters fell just one game short of four in a row in 2023. It was still an amazing season, but of course, with the standards so high, another title remains the goal. The 2024 season also will be played, as you might have heard, at Santa Barbara High’s Eddie Mathews Field, our temporary home while Pershing Park gets needed work done. The home of the Dons will be the home of the ’Sters this summer.

This article includes information about TICKETS, PARKING, FOOD, and MORE. Read on!

2024 On the Field

The schedule includes 20 home games, and only 10 “roadies,” so there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to see their favorite team in action. The Foresters are in the California Collegiate League’s South Division, which expands this summer to include the Ventura County Pirates and the San Diego SunRays. Two North Division teams will visit SBHS, the squads from Menlo Park and Alameda.

Once again, ten-time national-champion manager Bill Pintard has put together another top team of players from the country’s best baseball schools. The roster is dotted with familiar Foresters homes, including Arkansas, Texas, TCU, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Long Beach State, and Cal. There are far fewer returning players than usual, but a highlight is 2023 MVP Daniel Patterson from Westmont. The speedy infielder went from being a “temp” to being a season-long starter and a clutch player on offense and defense. Lefty Jackson Cloud joins Creighton’s Mason Koch as returning pitchers.

Here are some key details and news for fans as we open The Season of the (New) Streak:

Our 2024 Home

Santa Barbara High School’s Eddie Mathews Field is on Canon Perdido Street at Salsipuedes Street. It’s a beautiful field, renovated not long ago to make it even more comfortable, with room for all our fans. Foresters associate head coach Steve Schuck led the Dons to the Channel League title in 2024, so it comes with a championship pedigree.

Parking

Parking is available anywhere on the Santa Barbara High School campus, then a short walk to the field (note that the left-field gate will NOT be open, so plan accordingly). Street parking can also be sought on the neighboring streets. (Note that Canon Perdido near the park is foul-ball target territory!)

Tickets and Season Passes

Single-game tickets are purchased at the gate. This year, due to SBHS seating, we will offer some reserved “stadium” seating, with actual chairs. You can buy a season pass for one of those, or buy single-game tickets, again available as you enter the ballpark.

As always, money-saving Season Passes are on sale, so get yours today. They are good for all 20 home games. Choose from money-saving Family or Couples Passes or get your own Individual Pass. If you order by June 5, your personalized pass will be ready at the gate on Opening Day.

Food and ??

The ever-friendly folks at the El Camino Catering taco truck will be parked on Canon Perdido for all games, so look forward to those tasty tacos, quesadillas, and even ballpark hot dogs! Will we have beer at the games as at Pershing? At this writing, we still do not know. We will keep you posted, of course! Please do NOT bring your own beer or cocktails to the game. Thank you!
