“We are so proud to represent Santa Barbara and our entire community,” said manager Bill Pintard. The occasion was a visit to the Santa Barbara City Council, where Mayor Randy Rowse read out an official proclamation honoring the Foresters’ 2022 NBC World Series title—the third in a row and tenth all-time. Pintard then invited the City Councilpeople to the team’s 2022 Victory Party on Sunday, September 18. (Details will be announced to the public very soon! Stay tuned!)

Pintard spoke briefly about the 2022 season and the work that went into bringing another title back home. He then presented the Larry Davis NBC World Series Championship Trophy the team earned in Wichita, Kansas, on August 6 with a win over the Hays Larks. Mayor Rowse said the trophy would be displayed proudly in the Council offices for a while.

Pintard also thanked the City Parks and Recreation Staff, the landscaping and maintenance crews, the police and fire departments, and Santa Barbara City College for their assistance this past summer. “It was a great collaboration among all these people and groups to make sure we had another winning baseball season,” he said.
