By Nick Masuda: For the second consecutive game, the Santa Barbara Foresters posted double-digit hits in a convincing 10-3 win over the visiting San Francisco Seals at Pershing Park on Friday evening.
Leading the Foresters 12-hit attack were five players with two hits apiece, including Kendall Pettis, Steven Zobac, Tanner O’Tremba, Jared Thomas and Carson Wells. O’Tremba also added two RBIs — including an RBI triple in the first inning — while Thomas, Jashia Morrissey and Max McGwire all had one.
Santa Barbara created chaos on the basepaths with 13 stolen bases, with Wells swiping five bags and Thomas adding four more.
Maxwell Flame earned his first victory of the summer, working three scoreless innings of relief, striking out two. Chase Webster notched the save in his first Forester appearance, tossing both the eighth and ninth innings with five strikeouts and no hits surrendered.
The Foresters face the Seals again on Saturday at 6 pm at Pershing Park.
