S.B. City Council Honors Foresters
On September 12, the Santa Barbara City Council honored the Foresters and congratulated them on winning their fourth National Championship. Manager Bill Pintard and members of the board of directors presented the championship trophy to the Council for the day, while Mayor Helene Schneider read a proclamation honoring the team and thanking them for supporting and representing Santa Barbara so well.
“We’re honored to represent Santa Barbara and all of our fans. This is truly a community team,” said Pintard. “From the board to the coaches, from the fans to the host families who open up their homes, from our sponsors and all our community partners, the Foresters are truly Santa Barbara’s own.”
After a bit of downtime, the Foresters will be ramping up planning for the annual Turkey Day Shootout golf tournament, set for November 22. Details will be posted soon.
